From group PY Hotels & Resorts we have taken on the commitment ofpromoting and implementing work systems and other actions aimed at protectingour environment, as well as guaranteeing the integration and comfort of all thepeople around us and, of course, of those who choose our hotels as theiraccommodation.

To achieve these objectives, we work every day on the adaptability ofour facilities, on awareness-raising and education on social responsibilityissues, and on the fulfilment of our Environmental Policy.

In the first place, we try to make our facilities a model ofadaptability. For this reason, all our hotels are adapted to people withreduced mobility, thus facilitating their stay and access. At Hotel PrincesaYaiza, we also offer the BlueOne chair lift, which allows the disabled toaccess the pools, being the only hotel in Lanzarote which is equipped with thissystem. We also have means to improve the stay of people with hearing and sightdisability.

On the other hand, thanks to our wish to have hotels adapted to everyneed our guests can have, all the hotels of the group are now ready to hostpeople with food intolerances or allergies. To be able to guarantee a fullservice in this respect, we always prepare tailor-made stays for guests withspecial dietary needs. Hotel Princesa Yaiza even has an independent kitchen forour guests to prepare gluten-free dishes, thus avoiding the risk ofcross-contamination.

Our hotels often get involved in the creation of own social actions, asthe different blood donation campaigns, Christmas solidarity races, solidarityballoon releases, or the important reporting we accomplish on different issuesby setting up information points at all our hotels on dates of specialrelevance, as on World Cancer Day. For every action of this kind, we regard theinvolvement of all our staff as something essential, and we try to encourageour guests to be part of solidarity actions as well.

At PY Hotels & Resorts we consider education as one of the essentialpillars to create a better world, as a cure for the lack of information and aguide to good deeds. For this reason, our hotels get involved to a large extenton the organization of lectures and masterclasses, not only at schools, for thedissemination of healthy food habits, but also for the promotion of foods fromlocal procedure. This educational labour is reinforced by the fact that ourrestaurants directly buy their products to local producers, always as a firstoption.

In the field of labour integration of disabled people, not only do wetry to be part of the active recruitment of our staff, as it is the case of theteam of gardeners at our hotels, but we also try to go further, collaboratingwith labour insertion companies, as those which make the staff uniforms, or ourmerchandising and stationery suppliers.

Due to our concern about the preservation and protection of theenvironment, PY Hotels & Resorts use recycling systems of our own creation,as well as systems to save water and electricity. In addition, we carry out aconstant labour of awareness-raising on environmental responsibility with bothguests and staff, without forgetting the active participation and promotion ofspecific activities, such as children’s tree planting at the hotels, recyclingworkshops or the annual celebration of Earth Hour.

Thanks to our whole staff’s involvement and the support of all ourguests, we can go on with our determination to take care of our wonderfulenvironment, and the people around us, trying to improve every day.
