All the establishments belonging to Group PY Hotels & Resorts bet on making their contribution and carrying out solidarity actions along the year, to help those who need it most. That is why, next December 30th, our hotel Princesa Yaiza will organize a new edition of the well-known Christmas solidarity race Be Brave & Run. This year, the funds gathered will be completely destined to Aspercan, Asperger Association in the Canary Islands, and to the association Creciendo Yaiza, for families who have children with special educational needs. Will you join us and run on the next-to-last day of the year for a good cause?

The cause. Creciendo Yaiza is an association that arose in 2013 to satisfy the needs of children and young people from Yaiza who have special educational needs or disabilities, or those who are in risk of suffering from them. It aims at their access to equal opportunities and promotes activities in their own town, thus preventing them from having to travel to Arrecife, more than 30 km away. On the other hand, Aspercan is an association that was born in 2005, as a result of the concern of a group of relatives who want to foster the rights and equal opportunities of people with Asperger syndrome, as well as promote early diagnosis, treatments, their development and integration. You can’t run or you don’t feel like it, but you would like to support this cause? You can directly make a donation or buy the race official T-shirt and take a souvenir with you, in addition.

The route. As solidarity is ageless, we have organized different races, with different degrees of difficulty, so that children can come and participate. At 10.00, children under the age of 5 will be able to run along 200 metres accompanied by their parents and Kiko; at 10.15, the 500 metres race will take place for children between 5 and 9 years old; children 10 to 13 years old will be able to run 2.2 km at 10.30; and the adult and junior race will start at 11.00. It will be 5 km long but of low difficulty in a virtually flat area, since the aim is achieving a high rate of participation to help those who need it most.
