Support to local sport and culture from private institutions is something essential at any point of geography. This support is maybe more important in the Canary Islands, where there are fewer companies but the same dreams to fulfil by the young talents who live in our islands. For that reason, Group PY Hotels & Resorts, through our different hotel establishments, always supports, year after year, those sport and cultural projects that involve a great deal of effort and hard work, a lot of dreams to fulfil which we would be so happy to turn into reality.

Some of these dreams have already been fulfilled! This is the case of the Lanzarote sailing team J80 Hotel Princesa Yaiza, led by Rayco Tabares, who started their love of sailing from a young age and, little by little, and with the support of our sponsorship, they have achieved great positions in the most important championships sailing nationally and internationally. We could say that this team has all the prizes in its sports curriculum: champions of the Canary Islands, champions of Spain and World Champions up to 4 times, they are unstoppable! The candle transmits values ??associated with freedom, adventure, teamwork, passion and audacity, values ??with which our Group coexists day by day and identifies itself, thus supporting this team every day so that they continue adding triumphs to his sports curriculum.

The Canarian fight is another of the local sports with more roots, culture and tradition, and another of the main sports sponsored by PY Hotels & Resorts. The Fight Club Unión Sur Yaiza has received our support for years and, of course, will continue to receive it.

Other sports and cultural projects that we support from PY Hotels & Resorts with all our affection and attention are the triathlon team Triyaiza, participant in the Ironman Lanzarote, one of the toughest and most internationally known sports events, the football team Unión Sur Yaiza, the Tias-Yaiza Rally, the Surg Quemao Class world championship, the Playa Blanca Masters or the solidarity soccer tournament in favor of MSRun Lanzarote, in addition to the I International Atlantic-Oriental Chess Open.

We also actively participate in the promotion of exhibitions and cultural projects, without forgetting the queens of the beauty of Yaiza, a contest in which we also collaborate as a sponsor.
